Congratulations to Nathaniel Wasserman, a volunteer mentor with North Star Mentoring of the Erie County Independent Living Program at Family Services of NW PA. Nathaniel received the Service for the Soul Award at the 2024 Nonprofit Excellence Awards, hosted by the Nonprofit Partnership.
The submission included the following statement: "Nathaniel Wasserman, a North Star Mentoring volunteer, has made a significant impact on his mentee, consistently offering support and guidance based on his personal experiences. With deep empathy and understanding, Nate goes above and beyond to ensure his mentee feels supported, attending to his needs with reliability and dedication. His passion for the organization's mission is evident in his initiative to plan meaningful activities, attend extra training, and provide unwavering support, transforming his mentee's life with his compassionate presence."
