Introducing the Center for Counseling and Wellness!

January 27th, 2025

We are excited to announce that the Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic at Family Services of NW PA is now the Center for Counseling and Wellness! As we continue to expand outpatient services, the new name better reflects the agency's breadth of services and creates a more welcoming atmosphere for clients.

All current services remain available and there will be no service disruption for current clients. Additional services for individuals with substance use disorders will be available soon.

The Center for Counseling and Wellness at Family Services of NW PA continues to offer the following services:

Office-Based Counseling for individuals, couples, and families with a variety of issues, including relationship concerns, parenting challenges, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, and anger management. Referrals can be submitted for adults and children as young as four (4) years old.

Psychiatric Services, including evaluations and medication management for children and adults. Child psychiatry is available to children starting at age six (6). Currently, there are immediate openings for teens and adolescents.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help children and their caregivers overcome the negative effects of traumatic life events such as loss of a loved one; accidents, disasters, or fires; domestic/community violence; bullying; physical, sexual, or emotional abuse; and life-threatening injury or illness.
